It’s Never Too Late – by Pauline Fletcher and Linda Michael

Join us this July at Level Best Art Gallery for an exciting exhibition,‘It’s Never Too Late’  where work by Pauline Fletcher and Linda Michael will be open to the public. The exhibition showcases Linda and Pauline’s artistic evolution, from traditional watercolour and oil paintings to more experimental mediums and styles.

An active learner and lover of Art and Art History, Linda’s pieces reflects her belief that it’s never too late to pursue your passion. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or a casual observer, this exhibition is a celebration of lifelong learning and artistic exploration.

Pauline’s journey in the arts began at the Margate School of Art where she was immersed in drawing classes. Opting for a more financial stability, she completed a business course and landed employment at the Air Ministry. However, the civil service compensation wasn’t enough, compelling Pauline to take up a role at Eagle Airline. A job swap led her to an opportunity abroad as a secretary at The Reefs Beach Club. This move ignited her artistic pursuit as she exhibited her work at the City Hall Gallery in Hamilton, Bermuda. She moved to New York, joined the Art Students League, only to return to Bermuda again. Later, she met her life partner and moved back to the U.K. Post the birth of her son, they moved to Colchester where she enrolled in a BA course in Art History at the University of Essex. As a member of the Colchester Art Society, her work is showcased at the Minories and on the C.A.S. website. Pauline is part of the Tuesday Group, continuously learning under the guidance of accomplished tutors such as Dr Ian Hay, Simon Cartyer, and Pam Booker.
