Art by Nick Mair with Stella Davis at Level Best Gallery

Nov 12, 2024 | Gallery

A review written by trainee Gallery Assistants Sophie & Derek, assisted by staff member Megan

The artists work together, and they have known each other for 10 years. They are friends. Nick chooses the subject matter which is different animals. Stella helps him out.

The gallery room looks beautiful, it has pops of colour. It’s nice room. We counted at least 24 paintings.

Sophies favourite is the one with the owls. “I just like the way it’s done – very detailed. It’s done with lots of colour and brings your eye to it, the colours pop out “

Derek has 3 favourites called ‘Birds and Bees’, ‘Baby Pheasants and their Parents’ and ‘Chickens and Chicks’. “I Just liked them”

Megan favourite is the meercat painting “I like the interesting shapes”

Sophie said they are all different, some are standing up. The painting is brown, but it’s not boring. Sophie likes the brushstrokes “they’ve probably used a small brush for the detail” We have already sold 5 of the paintings, the artist will be very happy.

In summary, Derek says he likes all of the paintings, but it doesn’t give him any specific feelings. He gives the exhibition 10/10.

Sophie thinks all the paintings are amazing. The exhibition feels ‘happy’. She gives the exhibition 10/10.

If the artist Nick was here, we would say “You’re an incredible man, Good Work!”

Art by Nick Mair with Stella Davis is showing at Level Best Gallery until 28th November 2024.
