EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY Inaugural showcase of oil paintings and ink drawings By Peter Porteous-Butler
This will be Peter’s first solo art exhibition, where he is showing ink drawings and oil paintings inspired and reflective of Colchester, the place where Peter grew up and still lives. Although spending most of his career in art as a Graphic Designer, Peter is at the beginning of this new direction in his art. This exhibition showcases the first stage of Peter’s journey.
Peter likes to create expressive works in ink and oils. He delights in the randomness and imperfections of real pieces of art that exist in the world, not just digitally.
Peter says ” I like people to find connections with my artwork, if just one person does this then I count the piece as a success!”
