Could volunteer work be for you?

There are many benefits to volunteering work, including improved mental health and meeting new people. According to NVCO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations), 90% of people who volunteer reported that they felt like they make a difference through their volunteering – and you can too!

At Level Best, we are always on the look-out for new volunteers to join our friendly and outgoing team of staff and volunteers. If you’re looking to make a difference in the lives of those living with disabilities, then we’d love to hear from you.

Whether you love working in the garden, in the kitchen, an art studio, or handling freshly picked produce, Level Best can offer hands-on and active volunteer work, helping to support our trainees during their sessions.

You can even get involved by supporting a Level Best event or project, including our annual Christmas markets, parties, and business initiatives.

Jack has been a volunteer at Level Best since June 2023 and spends his time working alongside our trainees in the art studio, we spoke to Jack about his experience volunteering at Level Best, and this is what he said:

“I like to volunteer because I feel like I’m giving help back to Level Best who helped me when I was a trainee. I really enjoy giving my knowledge to someone else.

“Spending time at Level Best is like no other place, the building omits happiness and positive vibes. It doesn’t matter how you feel when you arrive you will always leave happy.”

Jack currently volunteers two afternoons a week in the art studio supporting trainees with various tasks.
