This month, Level Best Enterprises is celebrating three years in our café and gallery on St John’s Street, and this feels like a moment to say thank you and celebrate with you.
Thank you to every customer who has stopped in for a coffee. Thank you to every person who has chosen us for lunch, taken home produce, visited an exhibition or event, ordered catering, told a friend about us, left a kind review or simply taken the time to chat. And, thank you also to the wider business community who have supported our Trainees with sponsorship, collaboration and some unforgettable events.
Because while this is a birthday celebration for our building, it is really a celebration of the community that has helped make it what it is.
When we opened the doors to our new building in April 2023, the hope was to create more than a café or gallery. Our aim in our new building was to grow to be part of something visible, valued and full of possibility. Over the last three years, that vision has been brought to life by people.
By the Trainees who show up with creativity, warmth and determination.
By our staff, trustees and volunteers who go above and beyond.
And by the customers and supporters who have embraced Level Best so wholeheartedly.
That support has made a genuine difference. The café has become a thriving city centre hub, welcoming thousands of visitors and helping create more opportunities for every one of our enterprises.
But what matters most is not only what has grown, but also what has been created.
A place where people feel comfortable meeting a friend over coffee, or just being in a welcoming, inclusive space.
A place where local artists and creatives feel at home.
A place where community groups gather.
A place where people with learning disabilities are seen, included and celebrated for what they can do.
Even the smallest act of support helps create something much bigger: training, purpose, opportunity and connection, and we thank you.
