We’re proud to share some exciting news. Level Best Enterprises has been featured in the Autumn 2025 issue of Living With Disability.
Living With Disability Magazine is a national lifestyle magazine that celebrates the achievements, creativity, and everyday experiences of people with disabilities, along with their families, friends, and carers.
It is wonderful to see Level Best Enterprises, our team and Trainees featured over three pages in a national publication.
What the Article Covers
The feature, titled “Doing Their Level Best,” offers a warm and in-depth look at the work we do every day.
It begins by sharing the story of The Dacon Trust, which opened its doors in 1970 with a school designed to support children with learning disabilities through creativity, communication, and hands-on learning. Over time, that commitment grew into what is now Level Best Enterprises, providing meaningful work experience and life skills across four key areas: our café and kitchen, the art enterprise, gardening, and seasonal production.
The article also highlights the heart of our community – our café. Recently ranked in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide on TripAdvisor, the café is a place where customers come for delicious food but stay for the warm welcome from our Trainees.
It also includes personal reflections from Trainees, including one who explained:
“I was very anxious and didn’t know what to expect when I first went to Level Best. I soon made loads of friends, and I can now cook mac and cheese that’s served in the café.”
The feature closes by recognising Level Best’s recent national award shortlists and commendations – further proof of the impact we all make every day.
