A review of the show ‘Lotus’ by Beth Holmes, written by Level Best Art Trainees and visiting friends from Project 21, with assistance from staff member Megan. It’s safe to say that we are all huge fans of Beth’s work – we hope you will come and enjoy the Lotus exhibition.
What information would you tell people about the artist?
She’s very good at being an artist
She’s a kind person

How would you describe what is on the walls to someone who can’t see?
It’s really good and creative and there are loads of different colours.
Lots of blue & black colours, and yellow lines.
Nice pictures, very colourful. It is very bright.
Shapes and pattern, colourful

Nearly straight lines – scribbly
How does the room look and feel?
It makes me feel nice, calm, relaxing and cosy

It’s about the enjoyment of making art

Comet Lemon (Dale) It is a nice picture
Sun to Me (Stephen) I like the colours
The pink & blue one (Tiana) Because it makes me feel jazzy and excited
Who Knew (Joseph) Because the dark shapes look like toes
Nice and Spicy (Chiara) Because it’s very colourful

What would you say to members of the public to encourage them to come to see the exhibition?
Nice to look around
It is pretty
It looks like the outdoors
Please come and have a look at Beth’s lovely artwork when you have got time because its very jazzy and fun
