We have some exciting news to share. Level Best Enterprises has been shortlisted in two categories at the 2026 Colchester Business Awards:
Best Community-Led Business
Eatery of the Year
To be recognised in both categories means a great deal to us. The nominations celebrate two important parts of Level Best: the difference we make within our community and the food, service and warm welcome offered by our Art Café.
Celebrating Colchester’s businesses
Organised by InColchester Business Improvement District, the annual Colchester Business Awards celebrate the businesses, organisations and individuals helping the city centre thrive.
This year, 12 categories are open to a public vote, recognising everything from outstanding local food and independent retail to community impact and contributions to the arts.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at Colchester Town Hall on Thursday 8 October 2026.
A community built around people
Our nomination for Best Community-Led Business reflects the purpose at the heart of Level Best Enterprises.
We create meaningful opportunities for people with learning disabilities to develop skills, explore their creativity, build confidence and play an active part in their community.
Our Trainees contribute throughout Level Best, including in our café, kitchen, art studios, gallery, shop and gardening projects. Their talents, ideas and hard work help make Level Best the creative, welcoming place it is.
This nomination also celebrates the families, customers, artists, volunteers, local organisations and supporters who are part of our community. We could not do what we do without you.
Celebrating our Café
We are equally proud to be shortlisted for Eatery of the Year.
Our Art Café brings together delicious homemade food, friendly service and opportunities for Trainees to develop practical catering, teamwork and customer service skills.
Whether you join us for lunch, meet a friend for coffee or treat yourself to something from the counter, every visit supports the work of Level Best Enterprises.
Please vote for Level Best
We would love your support in both categories.
You can only vote once, so please select Level Best Art Cafe in both Best Community-Led Business and Eatery of the Year before submitting your choices.
Voting closes on Thursday 17 September 2026. All votes are anonymous, and only one vote can be submitted per email address.
Every vote is a vote of confidence in our Trainees, our café and everything the Level Best community achieves together.
Thank you for supporting us. Please vote and help us spread the word!
